Our objective is to coach women in achieving and maintaining a safe and productive lifestyle, contribute to their communities economically, and cultivates a mindset that allows for all women to flourish as they continue to become their true SELF!.
SELF! is nonprofit whos aim is to provide all the tools necessary for women re-entering into society for the achievement of a successful and sustainable quality of life.
The listed community resources will ensure strong building or rebuilding of missing links to encourage positive life changes. SELF! will provide services to ensure a successful transition of the client from the prison system into the community.
Each program participant will be assigned to a life coach. Coaches will develop a detailed and customized plan for each of the client's individualized priorities, identifying what needs to be done, who needs to be involved, and the necessary time needed for completion. Special attention to issues related to family, education, employment, counseling, housing, and other social networks are important. Comprehensive plans will be developed after identifying the critical needs of each client.
The life coach will meet with the client monthly, but be available as needed. This requires that staff maintain low caseloads and that supervision and services be available on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Many clients reentering society have stipulations from the parole board and navigating the process and procedures can be difficult. SELF! will provide the resources needed to be able to comply with the terms of their parole, helping them successfully meet all their legal obligations.
